The Shinto shrine Fukami Hachimangu

 

 

This Shinto shrine is in the region which relates with the famous family Ishida.

 

Mitsunari Ishida had served General Hideyoshi Toyotomi, who was about to occupy Japan in Sengoku era (from late 15 th century to late 16 th century. In this era, many generals had battled each other to occupy entire of Japan. )  

 

Mitsunari Ishida battled enemy in Sekigahara (Gifu prefecture), but he failed and absconded. His son, Shigenari Ishida, had lived in this region.

 

This shrine is also called ‘Sugiyama Hachimangu'.
